About this event

The SOAS Centre for Iranian Studies and the Jaleh Esfahani Cultural Foundation (JECF) will present this unique poetry prize for young (under 30) Persian-speaking poets. The prize was initiated by JECF in 2009 and is now in its 15th year.

There will be poetry, talks, music and performances from Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. In addition, the winners of the poetry prize originating from these three Persian-speaking countries as well as poets from other countries will be announced at the event. All of the previous festivals’ poetry prize events were held at the Brunei Gallery, SOAS and this year will be no exception.

Please note that the proceedings of this event will be held in Persian.
