About this event
A recording of the event is now available.
The Centre for Development Policy and Research (CDPR)*, part of the Development Studies department is co-organising and hosting the launch of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA) report, “World Development Challenges: Development Progress from a Broader Lens”, on 26 October at 17:30 BST.
The report proposes a new lens for measuring development in the form of a development challenges index (DCI), which aims to capture the complex challenges facing developed and developing countries.
This event is the first to be hosted by CDPR since its re-activation in the spring term of 2022 and involves some of the report’s authors, in addition to some high profile discussants from SOAS University of London and University of Oxford.
The event will be followed by a reception.
