About this event

Edward Paice will talk about the research for his acclaimed study Youthquake - Why African Demography Matters (Apollo, 2022), the history of the debate about global population growth and the fascinating heterogeneity of trends in Africa. Received wisdom and common myths about what drives fertility change will be addressed, and some observations made about what will determine whether much larger populations will be an asset or an ever-increasing liability.

The event marks publication of the paperback edition of Youthquake. Discounted copies will be on sale for anyone interested.
