About this event

With their hybridised iconography zoomorphic incense burners (ZIBs) are enigmatic objects. They were produced c.441–597/1050–1200 in Khurasan.

This lecture will introduce ZIBs and examine an aspect of what they may have meant to the people of that time and place.

The lecture will be chaired by Professor Scott Redford.
