Biography
Ken Kato is a musicologist and PhD candidate at Osaka University in Japan, where he also obtained his Master's degree in Musicology.
His main research interests lie in popular music studies, which he has explored from historical, geographical, and cultural policy perspectives. From September 2023 to March 2024, he was an Associate Research Student at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Research interests
Japanese popular music culture during the Covid-19 pandemic.
