Biography
Dr Maya Nguyen is a Lecturer in International Relations at SOAS, University of London. Her primary research interest lies in examining the 'kindered' perspective of global politics, and particularly issues of (in)security. Her current research, which is based on life history interviews and archival research, explores the role of children and youth in the Southeast Asian military conflicts in the second half of 20th century.
Prior to joining SOAS, she taught at Goldsmiths University, London South Bank University, and City, University of London. She holds a PhD from Goldsmiths, and an MA (Hons) from the University of St Andrews.
