Neil Robbie

I started off my English teaching career in Japan where I initially worked in language schools before moving into the university sector where I taught EAP part time at a number of different Japanese universities, while doing a part time Masters in TESOL at Columbia UniversityTeachers' College based in Tokyo. I returned to the UK in 2000. After working in language schools, in the TEFL sector I moved back into EAP working initially with Bellerbys College and then at IFCELS, SOAS. I've been at SOAS for 16 years now. I'm interested in how grammar can be taught in EAP and the role of In-sessional provision and study skills support for both first and second language students.
