SOAS breaks into top 30 of The Times' Good University Guide 2024
SOAS has been ranked 28th best university in the UK according to The Times Good University Guide 2024, climbing nine places from last year's table.
The university league table also shows SOAS in the top five best universities in London, joining LSE, Imperial, UCL, and King’s College London. The Good University Guide from The Times and Sunday Times is designed to give prospective students information about Britain's universities to help them make the most informed choice about where and what to study.
These results are a testament to SOAS’s international appeal for academic staff, underscoring our ability to attract top-notch international talent due to its academic reputation and quality.
Commenting on SOAS’s status as one of the most international universities in the UK, Professor Laura Hammond, Pro-Director of Research & Knowledge Exchange, said:
“These results are a testament to SOAS’s international appeal for academic staff, underscoring our ability to attract top-notch international talent due to its academic reputation and quality. They also reveal our appeal to students worldwide who enrich the community that our students enjoy.
"We are committed to providing our students with a world-class education and engaging with global academic talent to further enrich the institution's intellectual vibrancy.”
The news follows last week's announcement from The Guardian University Guide 2024, which named SOAS as one of its highest climbing institutions, jumping 34 spaces to position 52, and SOAS was named 2nd in the UK for international faculty in the QS 2024 league table.
