Biography

Xing Wang is Visiting Scholar at Colombia University researching "The Waigao Federation and the Eighty-Nine China Democratic Movement", under the supervision of Professor Andrew J. Nathan.

As a leader in the financial Chinese industry he has been actively involved in the development of regulations and self-regulation management for China's financial regulatory departments and industry associations. He has also been responsible for financial market and strategic management research, industry training, and international exchange and cooperation. 

As a financier, strategist and an association leader, he has long been involved in poverty alleviation, environmental protection, safeguarding the rights and development of private enterprises, and the promotion of freedom, democracy, and human rights.

Key publications

Media Publications of Academic Articles and Books: Since 1998, I have published over 100 academic articles and specialized topics in top-tier national publications such as the "Shanghai Securities Daily," "China Securities Journal," and "Securities Times." I have also completed several research projects for the China Securities Association. Key works include "The Latest Securities Investment Methods and Applications" (2000), "Value Growth (Dual Growth) Investment Theory and Application" (2001), "Methods and Applications of Financial Analysis for Listed Companies" (2003), "Mid-term Financial Analysis Report of Chinese Listed Companies" and "Annual Financial Analysis Report of Chinese Listed Companies" (2003–2008, published regularly in four to eight pages each year in the Shanghai Securities Daily).

I am also a member of the editorial board and author of the "Guide to Financial Analysis of Chinese Listed Companies" (published by Shanghai Securities Daily Press in 2004) and an editorial board member of "Innovation and Development—China Securities Association 2015 Collection of Papers" and "China Securities" (China Securities Association, 2017–2018).

 

Research interests

Xing Wang's research interests are in Strategic Management (Political, Social, and Corporate, Global Strategy), China's Political and Society and Economic Development, Freedom, Democracy, and Human Rights. His research interests also include financial investment and financial technology.

The topic currently being researched is "Integration of Chinese and Western Argument ” under the guidance of Professor Steve Tsang of SOAS University of London.
