Development Leadership Dialogue

About

Economic and social development requires many actors – the government, the corporate sector, civil society organizations, trade unions, international organizations, and others.

However, typically these actors have operated in separate spheres, not understanding each other well and even seeing each other as adversaries. In a world with big changes and heightened uncertainties in relation to climate change, the so-called fourth Industrial Revolution, and shifts in the global power balance, overcoming this ‘silo-ization’ and the lack of mutual understanding it leads to is ever more important.

As a part of an attempt to overcome this state of affairs, Development Leadership Dialogue (DLD) brings people (both current and future leaders) and disciplines together in dialogue. Our aim is to generate more effective and inclusive development strategies through workshops, high-level dialogues, annual lectures, conversations, and bespoke activities.

Development Leadership Dialogue (DLD) is generously supported by Hyundai Motor UK Ltd and Kia UK Ltd.

Future Leaders Programme

Future Leaders Programme (FLP) workshops bring together a small number of people who are expected to be in senior leadership positions in the coming years for a workshop involving lectures, discussion sessions, and debates.

Each FLP workshop has a key theme and/or regional focus and is led by presenters with a wealth of senior experience in government, academia, the private sector, civil society, and international organisations.
