Access to Archives (A2A)

The Access to Archives website provides on-line catalogues describing archives held throughout England, dating from the 900s to the present day. Includes descriptions of the following collections held at SOAS: papers of Sir John Mansfield Addis, papers of Sir William Mackinnon, archives of John Swire and Sons Ltd (see also the A-Z Listing of our collections).

Anti-Slavery Library

A brief guide to the Library’s holdings of printed and visual material. As well as including over two hundred years of literature on slavery the Library, in its contemporary collection, also holds material on child prostitution, bonded labour, etc.

British Library Public Catalogue

The British Library’s integrated catalogue, which contains information on over 12 million of its books and documents. Also contains a link to on-line catalogues not included in the integrated catalogue, such as the Japanese and Chinese printed books and serials catalogues and some of the holdings of the India Office.

Royal Commonwealth Society Library Photograph Project

A selection of images from the Royal Commonwealth Society’s photographic collection. Photographs are arranged by topic (e.g. military, daily life, etc) and there is an index to photographers.
