Biography
After completing her diploma at SOAS, Mika Hasebe did an MA in Gender Analysis in Development from University of East Anglia.
She was awarded a PhD in sociology from Tokyo Metropolitan University and is now working as an Associate Professor at Meijigakuin University with a particular focus on “multicultural society and volunteers in Japan”.
Research interests
Gender impact on social integration of immigrants/refugees in Japan.
